Miniatum GEL 3D yellow, 100 ml, Kolner
Intended use:
A pasty adhesive for applying goldleaf and metal leaf in an artistic way to flexible surfaces.
Miniatum gel works perfectly on parchment, paper, canvas, plastics and leather. The result is a
3D gilding, where the light reflects on the gold leaf from more sides. It is an adhesive that
makes new creative applications with gold leaf possible. The material is thick, so it does not flow.
It can be applied with a brush (not to soft hair), a painter
knife, small spatulas etc. (Tip: use the cupcake
decorating tools to make special effects) Stencils can
also be used to create beautiful effects. Remove the
stencil when the Miniatum Gel has dried slightly.
Drying time before gilding:
minimum 3 hours depending on the layer thickness.
(always make a test)
Once the Miniatum gel is dry, apply aluminum leaf,
copperleaf, imitation gold leaf, Dutch metal within 12
hours. (Metal leaf is thicker than gold leaf and therefore
it must be applied sooner, if it has a greater adhesive
force.) Applying genuine gold leaf within 72 hours works
best. You can also wait longer; If the Miniatum Gel has
become too dry and the gold leaf no longer sticks, the
Miniatum Gel can be activated with warm air.
