TECHNICAL FEATURES
The colors have a high degree of transparency which makes them suitable for subtle glazes, a unique characteristic of natural organic colors. The colors are composed of very light and extremely fine pigments, some of which produce light granulation effects on paper. These colors were chosen for their historical importance and for having given good stability results. The natural, impure, soft, dynamic colors, rich in reflections, keep the link with the raw material, the climate and the land in which they are born alive. The dye is extracted in the form of a lacquer following ancient medieval recipes and ground with gum arabic and honey. Each watercolor weighs about 4,5 gr, the brown, almost black color of the solidified watercolor paste in the godet is an indication of the natural transparency of the pigment.
