The Turapori natural shellac primer is a ready-to-use alcoholic solution of natural shellac in flakes with the addition of special additives that facilitate the perfect closure of the pore and the sanding work, guaranteeing an ideal base for the subsequent finishing. The high concentration of shellac which characterizes the Natural Shellac Turapori Base guarantees a high dry residue in the solution, which allows you to quickly obtain a sufficiently thick base coat of turapori. The Turapori natural shellac primer is an easy-to-apply solution, it can be swab or brushed, fills the pores and eliminates imperfections with just a few passes, dries quickly and is easy to sand. Furthermore, being produced with natural shellac, it will leave a characteristic amber hue on the treated surfaces. If, on the other hand, you want a colorless primer, we recommend using the Turapori primer with dewaxed shellac. Thanks to these characteristics, the Turapori natural shellac primer is ideal for preparing a uniform and smooth primer on wooden surfaces or on gesso for subsequent application of the finish (or of products for gilding, for example missions, bolus, etc.), which it can be carried out with shellac in a solution drawn by pad or brush, paste wax, as well as with other types of finishes, for example with polyurethane paint. Therefore the Turapori natural shellac primer can be used as a universal primer capable of providing excellent adhesion to finishes of any type.
